Tactful Bestman Toasts

As a bride, there are many facets of your wedding we're sure you're nervous about. However, the best man's speech shouldn't be one of them. Often times the best man says "I'm gonna wing it" or he writes this long, dramatic sequence of events that had transpired between your beau and himself some 20 years ago that has no relevance to you or your wedding day.

To prevent this from happening, we have equipped you with some pretty standard yet eloquent speeches that will speak volumes about the best man and yourselves. We support uniqueness 100% when it comes to writing the speeches. However, there are those rare people (you know who I'm talking about- we all know someone) who easily "inserts their foot in their mouth" and we can't always be sure what they are going to say. For those people, this article exists. If you feel comfortable having your man's best bud write his speech, then go for it!

Here's just a couple ideas to get the speech off on the right foot. Now let's raise a glass to a short, thoughtful and well-executed toast!

Standard Speech

First I'd like to congratulate (bride and groom's names) on their new adventure in life together. Mr. and Mrs. (bride's parents), it is truly an honor to be in the presence of a couple that have raised such an exceptional girl who complements (groom's name) so well. Mr. and Mrs. (groom's parents), you raised a son to be dedicated and passionate about everything he does in his life. I know that he will treat his marriage the same way.
I have never seen a couple that has extended great love for one another as I have with (bride and groom's names). Their dedication and commitment is truly admirable and I extend all the best for them. It is an honor for me to be friends with not only (groom's name) but bride's name) as well.
(Groom's name), you and I have been friends for a long time and I've never seen you happier. (Bride's name), you have been the best asset for (groom's name) in his life. I hope the both of you continue to grow each day with one another and fill your lives with love, happiness and success.
Congratulations again on your marriage. Now let's raise our glasses and toast the newly married couple, (bride and groom's name) and wish them a lifetime of great memories and laughter!
